Aloha!
It’s December here in Hawai’i and I write this to you from my backyard on a very breeze, misty and foggy eve… storms are moving over O’ahu tomorrow and have brought much cooler temperatures, winds and a large northern swell. Pipe Masters surf contest by Vans is in full swing on the North Shore!
Currently, I am under a plumeria tree that is lit with a beautiful string of Christmas lights; It appears to be shimmering as it blows with the trade winds. I admire the gorgeous mountains and my little make-shift brick firepit with it's smoldering embers. The comforting smell of the holidays fills the air as the Hawaiians cook Ono food and celebrate life with their families. For me, it’s fresh cookies in the oven, pumpkin spice candles & my two sweet little fur babies playing around the homestead.
Moving to Hawai’i has been the best choice I have ever made for myself. I am thankful for the courage it took to do it.. I am thankful for the provisions He has made along the way. I’m thankful for the wonderful people I have met! I’m thankful that I’m alive and able to wake up every morning to go climb mountains and swim in the ocean! Reflections on the last year leave me really thankful and humbled. I hope you are chasing your dreams and can say the same!
In this moment, as I reflect and as surely as I write this to you!! I want to give my most sincere and deepest appreciation to our Heavenly Father and the prayers, more than I can ever fathom, that have been prayed over me from my immediate family to people I have never met - like some of you! May God fully cover you with anointing and blessings. THANK YOU.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and FABULOUS New Year! Wishing you and yours all the best in 2023.
Cheers to another year in this wild world & praying for each of you daily.
ALL OUR LOVE,
Kelsey, Sol (dog) & Luna (cat)
