A local - @zaniac1 on Instagram - says “We are politely asking for everyone to stop brining supply into Ohana Kahana and upper west Maui, UNLESS scheduled and organized with our ohana leaders. We are still looking for air, purifiers and home air filters for our residence in Lahainaluna and near/in fire impact zones. We are also still looking for lumber/building materials to help host-families relieve stress from their household and plumbing, as many homes on upper west Maui are hosting more people then their roof and plumbing can handle.
Mahalo to everyone from neighboring islands and around the world for your support and wanting to help. Let's all get to get funds ready to support donations to 1. Lawyers and attorneys to help fight for local families 2. Fund for School/ education/mentorship for kids 3. Fund for rebuilding local families homes.”
